About Dorset Youth (CCY)

Camping Club Youth (CCY) gives young people aged 12 to 17 years (inclusive) the opportunity to camp with others of their own age and take part in a range of activities.

CCY members generally work towards the Youth Test which encourages safe, responsible camping while still enjoying yourself. Passing the test entitles them to attend International Rallies and youngsters of 14 and over to camp alone at Club meets or Youth Rallies, since the test covers everything about camping.

Members who pass the Youth Test before their 18th birthday are entitled to pay the lower CCY membership rates until their 21st birthday and a Senior Youth rate (currently just £16 per year) up to the age of 30.

Youth Leaders - including Regional and Section Youth Liaison Officers - are experienced campers who enjoy working with young people. For everyone's protection, all leaders undergo a police check (CRB check), in the same way as Scout or Guide Leaders or School Teachers.
