Help to set a new record
.

A SEA of Lincoln Green flooded the Newark Showground as more than 1,000 Robin Hoods swarmed in to set a new world record. The gathering of 1,215 people dressed as the world famous outlaw smashed the previous record of 1,119 – which was set at Castle Green in Nottingham in 2008. The latest gathering was part of the National Feast of Lanterns, a five-day celebration organised by the Camping and Caravanning Club. Les Littlewood, entertainment team leader at the event, was delighted to set a new world record. He said: "It was just fantastic to break the record and everyone who dressed up can feel really proud. "I was walking around the crowds as they came into the arena and everyone looked to be enjoying themselves and really getting into the spirit of it. "The Nottingham branch held the record for the most number of Robin Hoods a while back, but this was beaten in 2008, so we're delighted to have won the record back – I just hope we can keep it for a while." The crowd took more than half an hour to filter in to the stage area where the entertainment at the event was being held. The Tolson family from Selby, North Yorkshire, said they were thrilled to be part of the successful record attempt. Dave Tolson, 52, said: "It's been a brilliant day – and we couldn't really pass up the opportunity to be part of the record attempt. "The children love fancy dress and they've had a great time." Son Adam, 11, said that he couldn't wait to see the attempt listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. He said: "It's been a really great day dressing up and the weather has been really good too." Jordan Redfern, six, from Newark, also dressed up as Robin Hood with his family to help set the new world record. He said: "It's really awesome – dressing up as Robin Hood was fun. "I think my favourite bit of the outfit is the sword, but I like the hat too."

Caravan Tyres

Hi to every one,
And welcome to my first, “Ask Andy”. While ATTENDING the Country & Western weekend, I was asked several questions on tyres and tyre safety, so I thought this could be a good place to start. The subject of tyres is an interesting one, and far more complicated than you many may first envision.

Caravan & site electric information

Hope you all enjoyed or found some thing useful in the tyre article. Here is my second submission, hope this is of some use to members also.
A problem we encounter all too often, are customer’s whose caravan trips, and site trips, RCD’s, keep tripping out while using appliances within the caravan. Very often this is down to misuse, rather than an actual fault.

All you realy should know about you tyres To carry on reading the article PLEASE CLICK (PDF file)
