Country & Western Meet

"How did this all begin"

The first Country & Western Meet was held at The Wareham Forest Touring Park on the May Bank Holiday 1985. After the first year it was moved to its
present home at Church Farm Sixpenny Handley, next years event will be the 27th to be held at that venue.
On the 20th anniversary Anne Colman, who was one of the orignal founders of the meet recorded the event in a booklet.

"As the founder member who suggested C & W as the theme for our fund raising weekend. I have taken on myself (with committee approval) to compile a small booklet of "memories of the meet." The booklet you are about to read is the result I hope your curiousity is aroused and you will continue to reading this small historical document and enjoy finding out
"How did this all begin" The opening introduction to the booklet by Anne Colman.
