That's All Folks - Thank you

Well it's over and what a spectacular weekend it was. My thanks go to all of you who managed to get to Westpoint this year. I hope that you had a good time.

The weather was good for us although the previous Saturday & Sunday AND the following Monday saw Clear blue skies at least it was warm & dry.
(9.42am) First unit in after gates opened
A big thank you must go to all my committee and the fellow members on the working party. I know that a lot of them gave up their holidays to help run the event and the warm smiles and greetings from you all as you left certainly made it feel worthwhile.
The entertainment was excellent and I'm sure that those who stayed till the end for Alpha connection saw the effect of the whole band - pity they were held up on the Motorway with the traffic. The Saturday night Royal Marine Concert was in the words of one of the bandsmen 'the best they had ever been to' - high praise indeed.

I would like to take the credit for the brief appearance of the Red Arrows, the Lancaster bomber & Spitfire as well as the Eurofighter that flew over but I have to say it just shows what you can see flying out of Exeter airport.
Then of course there was the Chairman's Charity - What can I say!! The monies so far have been counted and so far you have raised a magnificent sum of £3012.25 - WOW. This money will go directly to the Lifeboat Station @ Exmouth towards their new Lifeboat House. As well as this sum you spent over £1645.15 on souvenirs from their stall. They have asked me to pass on their grateful thanks which I can only echo - thanks

Once again thank you for visiting our part of the World - See you all again in 12 Years!
