Country and Western 2005

As most people know Country and Western is the Dorset Association's biggest event of the year, it's huge! It all comes down to a lot of organising the raffle, the band, the electrics, the tuck shop, the snacks and drinks, the marquee, the silver dollar fair etc. It's really good when you see every one having fun and making the most of all the things the DorsetDA have put on this weekend. But for the children....... it was better than good, it was amazing! There were two parks a big one and a small one, the small one just outside the marquee and the big one in a different field. By the big park there was a chance to fly your kites which is what Karina and I did. We didn't have much luck but when we got back once we had given up we found out we had it tied on wrong. Oops! Never mind we had fun attempting. The tuck was really good and there was a wide range of things to pick! Yum! The penny fair on Saturday was really good. My Mum and I did the jelly game. It's a disgusting game where you have to put your hand in jelly abd pick out a blue pen lid. We made a lot of money. We made a lot of mess! The sports on Sunday were fantastic. Our group the "DDA" was made up by Me, Karina, Matt, Matt, Dave and Nikki and we won! Fortunatly Matt and Matt won the egg throwing competition as well. I won a couple of years ago but I used a rubber egg! I owned up though! The weekend was brilliant and i really enjoyed it.
