Brownsea Island Trip 2005

About fourteen poeple went out to Brownsea Island that weekend approximately twelve adults and two children. Everybody caught the boat there from Sandbanks. We all started clearing the rhododendrons in the wood. The adults started chopping back the huge trees with the saws and choppers while the two children cleared it all and put it on the fire to burn. Once a lot of the rhododendrons were cut a lot back (but not all the way back they are far to big) the Dorset Da went back to the cottage for a couple of hours to have lunch and a cup of tea. After that the adults went for a walk around the island. If you were not up to the long walk you could stay back at the cottage: it's your own choice. The tour guide showed them all around the island then took them back to the quay for the boat trip. The boat trip was nice and relaxing, so it finished off the wonderful day nicely.
